Masthead = Kamaʻāina (Comma eye-nah)

Kamaʻāina (Hawaiian: kamaʻāina, lit. 'child or person of the land') is a word describing Hawaii residents regardless of their racial background, as opposed to kanaka which means a person of Native Hawaiian ancestry.

A fictional magazine design targeting Hawaiian speaking people who are interested in incorporating more Hawaiian culture into their life. Such as speaking Hawaiian, learning the “Hawaiian” way, caring for the land & sea, and the overall importance of maintaining the native culture of Hawaii. The purpose of this project was research-based and provided the design with accuracy in the details. The content of this magazine was taken from the following website: www.slate.com/hawaii/news
